Fundraising Update

As of November 30, 2008, we have raised $41.61 million of our $50.35 million budget!

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail needs friends like you, more than ever, to keep the project on track. We've completed one-half mile of the total eight miles planned. In 2009, we'll build nearly four more miles!  The Northeast, North, Southeast and Capitol Ave. Corridors scheduled for construction in 2009 will provide incredible connectivity to nearly all of the Cultural Districts, leaving only the South and West Corridors to be constructed in 2010 and completed in 2011 - just in time for the Super Bowl!

Give Today To Receive Charitable Tax Deduction on 2008 Taxes

Donations to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail are tax deductible on your 2008 income taxes when you make a gift by December 31, 2008.  CICF, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, is the fiscal agent for the Cultural Trail, which allows donations to be tax deductible.

CICF can accept gifts of cash, appreciated stock, real estate and estate planning gifts. For more information about charitable gift options and how to best leverage your giving, please contact CICF Vice President for Development, Rob MacPherson, 317.634.2423 or RobM@CICF.org.

Indianapolis Cultural Trail Maintenance Endowment Gifts Matched

You have two options for supporting the Indianapolis Cultural Trail:
1. You may choose to give to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail Fund, which pays for all Cultural Trail expenses.
2. You may designate your gift to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail Maintenance Endowment and the Margot L. and Robert S. Eccles Charitable Fund, a CICF Fund, will match your gift 50%!  For example, your $10 gift will become a $15 gift.
To designate your gift, simply note "maintenance endowment" on your check or in the online form comments box.

Indianapolis Cultural Trail Fundraising Committee

Andre Lacy, chairman, CEO and president of LDI, LTD., and Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) President Brian Payne are co-chairing a committee of business and civic leaders who will be raising the final $8.74 million needed to complete the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The Gene and Marilyn Glick gift of $15 million, combined with previous donations and grant dollars, enabled the project to move forward.

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to make this project a reality.  See Donor Recognition for a list of donors who have contributed $20,000 or more and thank them when you see them in the community.
